When Animals Become our Friends – Companions for a Better Quality of Life
This June, we had very special guests at the Day Care and Activity Center.
Hank came to visit us! A beautiful shepherd dog along with two adorable puppies who filled us all with joy and smiles.
Their trainer, Mr. Korovesis, along with his wife, Maria, founded the non-profit organization “Dream World of Children and Dogs”*, with a vision of social integration, psycho-emotional development, and education through therapeutic interaction with trained dogs.

Introducing the concept of “Palliative Care…” to young children
An ambitious and promising new program has begun at the “Galilee’s” home for young children. The program is aimed to familiarize them to the concept of palliative care, using an interactive approach. Our team, brought to life with a play, the fairy tale “Galilaion and the Guardian of Relief” – a tender story written by Eleni Piperaki, a palliative care nurse of our center, together with her young daughter.

Volunteers are very important and highly valuable collaborators in Galilee’s work. Thus, they contribute greatly to improving the quality of life of patients and their families, through various areas of action.
5th “Poreia of Galilee” has been completed with great success
Municipality of Paiania was this year’s host of 5TH Poreia. Eight Municipalities united to support Galilee’s everyday effort to embrace every journey of cancer patients and their families.
