Patiraki Elisabeth

Volunteer. Professor of Nursing at the National Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA). She is responsible for Education and Research at the Unit.

After obtaining her qualification in Nursing from the Higher Education School of Nursing in Athens she received a degree in Nursing from the National Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) and a doctorate from the same department. After seventeen years of clinical work she embarked on an academic career at the Nursing School in the University of Athens. She served the Department first as Assistant Professor and until recently as Professor. She is responsible for the “Oncological Nursing and Palliative Care” specialty of the postgraduate program in Clinical Nursing at the Nursing Department of the University of Athens and for the interdepartmental Postgraduate Program “Organization and Management in Palliative and Support Care of Chronic Patients” at the Medical and Nursing School of the University. Her academic and writing work includes publications, monographs and lectures as guest speaker at Greek and International Conferences.
