Volunteer. Nurse, Former Director of Nursing Services at the Red Cross Hospital in Athens. She is responsible for the organization, supplies and equipment of the Unit.
After receiving her Nursing Degree from the Greek Red Cross Nursing School she obtained a Bsc Honours Degree in Nursing from the Ulster University in Northern Ireland, having been awarded a Scholarship from the Institution of State Scholarships. Thereafter she received a doctorate from the Nursing Department of the National Kapodistrian University of Athens. Her entire career has been spent in serving the Regional Red Cross Hospital of Athens in various positions including that of the Director of Nursing Services. Her academic and writing work includes publications, monographs and lectures as a guest speaker at Greek and International Conferences. For eight years she was President of the Greek Association of Nurses and President of the National Council for the Development of Nursing. She has also represented Greek Nurses at WHO, the European Federation of Nurses Association and the International Council of Nursing I.C.N.
