After seventeen years of clinical work she embarked on an academic career at the Nursing School in the University of Athens. She served the Department first as Assistant Professor and until recently as Professor. She is responsible for the \u201cOncological Nursing and Palliative Care\u201d specialty of the postgraduate program in Clinical Nursing at the Nursing Department of the University of Athens and for the interdepartmental Postgraduate Program \u201cOrganization and Management in Palliative and Support Care of Chronic Patients\u201d at the Medical and Nursing School of the University.
