“Galilee” as a member of the IAHPC and in order to contribute to the expansion of global knowledge on Palliative Care issues, accepted an invitation to participate in the international project “Global Palliative Care Database” (GPCD).
The use of electronic health records may improve health care quality, information sharing for evidence-based approaches and policies, and reduce the cost of care provision.
The GPCD project aims to create an international database in order to highlight similarities and differences among reasons for referral and time of referral to PC services, as well as prescribed therapeutic interventions and referrals to other disciplines.
The project is a collaboration between the IAHPC and the Fundación FEMEBA of Argentina with the participation of Palliative Care Units from around the world.
Nurses from the Inpatient Unit and the Home Care team participate in the project on behalf of “Galilee”.
